I followed the directions exactly and everything is running perfectly except I get an error inside the TomTom program that says "No GPS Device!" I think I've set the gps up correctly. Here are my settings:
Receiver: Other NMEA GPS receiver
GPS baud rate: 4800
Connected to: SirFNavDrv (I've tried all of the other options as well: TMC_COM and GPS_COM)

What do I do next?

I don't have my mio moov any more, I think it's GPS_COM. Try deleting Autorun.mscr but then the backlight doesn't work.

Try moving the Autorun.mscr file out of the unlock directory and rebooting, it might be that the original app doesn't release the GPS hardware when killed.

The settings are Other NMEA Receiver, baud 4800 and SirfNAVdrv

HI and thank you for your job.
I have two problems :

I managed to make tomtom run on my mio spirit 470

Unfortunately, after 1 or 2 minutes, the device freezes.

And the second thing is i would like to know where i can find the french voice (there is only the english one)

Thanks in advance for your answers

Mio spirits are windows ce 6 devices, Tomtom doesn't work properly under ce 6, it is advised to run igo primo instead.

However the freezing is usually down to the power settings, there are scripts to edit/delete the registry information regarding the settings, but sometimes it's just like that, you can try the alternative version of Tomtom posted in the faq at the bottom of post #1.

Tomtom voices are in the Tomtom voice section.

Thank you for your answer.
acording to the first page, i may be able to run tomtom because i have Smart_CE software.
However running Igo instead of tomtom isn't a big deal.

I'll try the alternative version. Bur in the FAQ, i don't see anything concerning the problem of freeze. Can you tell me what scripts i can try to edit ?

EDIT2 : The mio freezes even with the alternaive version of tomtom

EDIT3: No luck, Igo primo freezes as well, and windows CE shows up when i touch the screen

Maybe it's the way i unlocked the device.I have unlocked it with miopocket 4 (found this way before yours, sorry). I should maybe try your unlock method .

Miopocket does cause problems due to the extensive device modifications it makes, make sure you uninstall it correctly according to it's documentation.

Thank you so much for this very helpful guide. I spent hours trawling through another popular forum with useless information and broken links, then stumbled upon this little gem

I should also add this guide works perfectly on a Mio Navman M350, I couldn't find any info on customising this device so hopefully this post should guide people here
