I want to say thanks for the easy to follow guide.
I just used it to load tomtom onto a navman s90i and everything went smoothly.
As I know next to nothing about satnavs I have a couple of questions,
would I be right in assuming that only the PDA map versions work on this unit ?
and can I safely delete the entire navman folder or any others to free up space ?

Any map that is compatible with WinCE PNA/PDA (the column on the right of the chart) will work.

You can remove the Navman maps but don't delete anything else as you can render the device unusable if key files are removed or modified, the application without maps is about 50MB.

Ok, thats clear thanks, I'll just go and tidy things up and try the tomtom autorun. :)

First of all, thank you so much for all the advice on this post so far.

I've been working now on trying to get my Navman s30 to run TomTom for about 4 hours. I keep getting "Cannot find TomTom Navigator (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."

I've followed this guide closely, and followed everything on it. Still, no joy.

Running WinCE version 5.0.0

Have copied all .dll files pointed out in this post, argh! Help!

A basic build of iGO 8 works very well though...

Tomtom works on my mates S30 and also my F10 and they have only 32 meg ram, does the map size play a part in it?

Mon Jan 23, 2012 8:44 am

No the map size is irrelevant. There does appear to be different revisions of the S30, Some work with tomtom but most don't, It seems to be related to a dll in the Windows directory.

My F10 does not work with your version of TomTom so I replaced all the dll files with mine and it works. I also see that your file data.chk which is the same size as mine but with a slightly different date causes my TomTom Navigator.exe to have an out of memory error but works file with yours. (my tomtom exe is 1.3 meg and yours is 4.3)

I will look into it...

Can send you the dll files if you wish

With your TomTom Navigator.exe it says
" No maps found. To download one free city map, connect your iPAQ to your PC via ActveSync.
Sorry this is not the correct activation code for the product 'Australia'."

But with my smaller exe file it runs fine, any reason why this is so??

7.450 and 7.910 need different .dct files for the same map.

The Tomtom Navigator.exe from your 'Tomnav' version has been compressed with UPXShell or similar, That's why the sizes are different, Also the embedded bitmap has a bearing on size as well.

Some devices need their programmes to be compressed, That could explain why yours works where mine fails.

I have several versions of Tomtom Navigator on my NAS...

3739

All slightly different...

You have one called tomnav, this could be the one that I put together for my navman's.

I got it from one of your posts here somewhere...
