I want to thank you for this guide :thumbup: and ask a question.
I installed iGo Primo on my Spirit 485 and I wonder if there is a traffic avoidance function as there is in the original software.

Are we talking TMC?

Tue Dec 11, 2012 10:50 pm

Yes, exactly. I usually get lost with all the acronyms around :confused:

I believe on the spirit models you just add the tmc port and baud rate to the sys.txt, I don't remember what they are, possibly port 1 baud 4800, I'll look it up.

Wed Dec 12, 2012 8:49 pm

Do you mean that I should add something like that to sys.txt?

[tmc]
baud=4800
port="COM,1"

Is there any way to know the exact value?
Maybe is there something on the original (mio) config file?

Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:04 pm

I think that's it, try it, it either works or it doesn't.

Note: Moov devices need a registry entry created, Spirit devices don't (To the best of my knowledge)...

Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:46 pm

It doesn't :(
While googling i found someone talking about a software: "tmc scan". Do you know it?

Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:49 pm

Yes but i don't have a TMC device here to try it out on.

It's probably similar to the GPS scan tool, give it a try...

Do you have the TMC dll's installed?

Wed Dec 12, 2012 10:14 pm

Not sure, I just followed your guide.
Should I put some other dll's?

Sorry for my newbie questions but after editing sys.txt, should I do something else, other than restarting my device?

Thu Dec 13, 2012 7:48 am

There was a link for tmc dll's around this site somewhere but the mobile search facility cant find it, but the required dll's may be in the original spirit software, look for gpstmc.dll and gpstmc.pil and put them into the primo folder next to the exe file, then restart primo.

I think this is the post : http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?10468-How-to-make-TMC-work&p=88861&highlight=gpstmc.dll#post88861

That's the one, the search facility on the mobile site is "not quite as good as the desktop site"
