Postby tidus85 » Fri May 18, 2012 10:25 am

Can anyone help me please?
I borrowed from my friend a Mio moov 300, it was unlocked and run program from Navman\AppStartupSec.exe on internal memory. Then i want to run another wince software (let's call it "Test" software), so i copied my "Test" software to Navman folder on internal memory and rename it to "AppStartupSec.exe" (i deleted the orginal file AppStartupSec.exe). Now everytime i restart the device, it auto launch my "Test" software and work good, but the problem is device can not connect to pc via usb anymore and i can not restore the original AppStartupSec.exe for my friend now.

I did all solution from this thread http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?7414-My-Mio-device-won-t-boot-or-connect-to-USB! but not work

i already accessed to the blue screen of device to upgrade firmware, but i can not find any firmware for Mio Moov 300 EU.

Please help me, otherwise i need to buy him a new one. :( :(

Thanks very much

What is the "Test" software you refer to?

As you found out this is not an easy problem to solve, sometimes fixing it is just down to luck.

There is no easy fix for this, AppStartupSec.exe starts the USB drivers in the device, so the device doesn't know what to do when connected to the PC.

You are not the first person to fall into this trap and you won't be the last!

It would be interesting to know how. Please tell us and help others doing so.

- First you must make the device restart in blue screen by connecting pin 9 and GND, watch this link to know how to do : [Please Register or Login to download file]
- Download the wince firmware for Mio Moov 300 or 330 and upgrade it (select Format before upgrade)

After upgrade successfully, restart device, it will turn into USB connecting screen, connect it with pc then copy the orginal "Program Files" folder of mio Moov to internal memory, restart again --> it will start with default mio home screen.
