Hello all,
I'm new here and I'm new to gps mods. I have been willing to try to update my abandoned mio gps for a very long time. Now is the time.
I have a Mio Spirit 370, with 2go flash memory, 320x240 display, WindowsCE 6.
I have installed MioPocket 4.0 Release 68.
I have renamed Program Files/Navman/SmartST_CE/SmartST_CE.exe to SmartST_CE_orig.exe
I have copied to Program Files/Navman/SmartST_CE/ folder and renamed MioAutoRun.exe to SmartST_CE.exe and MioAutoRun.mscr to SmartST_CE.mscr
I have also copied to Program Files/Navman/SmartST_CE/ folder the file MortScript.exe
I have installed IGO Primo from iGO_Primo_2.4_9.6.13.405512__June_2014_.rar
Now Miopocket installs correctly and I have access to the menu but :
When I click on MioMap nothing happens.
When I click on IGO Primo nothing happens.
I can launch MioMap from the very first start menu but then if I want to switch and go back to miopocket I need to reset with the physical button.
Then I have to reinstall Miopocket again. Once in Miopocket I can't switch to Miomap again without a physical button reset.
However I can launch IGO Primo from the explorer, and it works. Though I still have to check outside that it receives GPS signal well (as it doesn't work inside my flat which is normal).
Often the display rotates with no apparent reason from 320x240, to 240x320, which is quite annoying. For example IGO Primo doesn't work in 240x320.
Also I have only access to mass storage after using the physical reset button. The USB menu in Miopocket doesn't help.
Can you help me ?

From the README.txt that comes with MioPocket 4.0 Release 68:
Warning: Mio Moov & Spirit owners are advised to do SD installation, since its proven safe and SD-Free installation can brick your device if you make the wrong changes. If you proceed with SD-Free installation, follow the instructions carefully and realize that, though they work for some people, they may not work for all.
Does that device have an SD card slot?
I can remember MioPocket used to be much easier to get working from a USB card.
MioPocket-Lite I remember used to also work ok, thought I had a copy but can't find it.

Sadly no SD card slot on this one, it is an old and entry level model. I even opened it to see if it was hidden inside.
I've tried MioPocketLite from archive.org but it doesn't work well with 320x240.
Are there other unlock software I could try ?
Do you know a good and more recent Mio gps that works with sd card, with larger screen, I could buy second hand in France ?

Sorry no, I haven't used any of the Mio devices, I've used Navman's successfully in the past, similar file structure I believe, the latest being a Move-130M I picked up new quite cheap from fleabay
a few years ago.
I don't know of any other unlock software that might work either as when I was messing with the Navman's MioPocket was the first I tried and as I managed to get it working I never worried about looking for another solution.
