Anyone having trouble with this version routing?

Maps show up, but routing seems to fail often.

I am assuming the drive is having trouble reading some of the data.

Do most people have better luck with DVD-R or DVD+R?
Any specific good or bad brand disks?
Burn fasted for disk or slowest?

I am starting to worry that my drive is going bad.

Does anyone know if the Nav DVD drive is a standard ISA/ATA drive, and maybe I can swap out for a new drive (or a hard drive, or is it a special unit?)

EDIT:
Ok, it is a special unit with the MB optical bus connection.

Well downloaded a new copy and burnt a new disk.
If this one does not work, I will be trying a mam-a dvd-r gold archival disk and seeing if that fixes things.

make sure all the files are good by using the sfv file and a sfv checker

in my opinion the harmon nav is not as picky with the media as with the mcsII
