Hi,

After updating to a newer map * Western Europe 910.4973 (with ALG support) * (found here) my TomTom GO's device is now running very low and reboot if I try to enter a postcode to go somewhere.

Also when I'm driving all my POIs sounds alert (premium radars with sound warning mosty) are not ringing anymore but are still activated in the menu (ON).

I was using previously Western_Europe_905_4799 with no trouble.

Nothing changed but the map in my latest update so I don't understand.

Map is activated (auto mode didn't work so I did it manually (run as admin) with current FastActivate (FastActivate-28-07-2013).

Could it be because I don't have enough free ram (around 7.0-8.4 Mo from 32 Mo)?
Could it be because of too much POI's?

Why it was working before with a similar v9.05.x MAP?

Any solution? Another lighter NAVCORE/BIOS? If so, which one?
Of course I'd like to keep all my precious POIs.

Thanks a lot in advance! ^^

Best regards,

v3'

First thing to check: POI's! Deselect them from showing on the map as they eat up your Ram.
If you have more than 7mb free stick to the Navcore.
Check if your problems are gone after deselcting the POI's from showing on the map, if not select a 910.4892 map.

So you're currently not aware of an another recent lighter NavCore SE (pre-crk) that will give me around 7.0-8.0 Mb Mo RAM and no restriction for maps or if I want a bunch of POIs showing on maps?

Any idea why it can work with 905_4799 map (and may work with 910.4892 map) but not with 910.4973?

I did not say that, I hve a few Navcores with installer in the Navcore section that offer Memory Boost for 32mb devices, resulting in up to 10mb of free RAM.
You can even try the 9.510 with power on over the ignition, although only for testing purposes at this stage it also offers Memory Boost.

There are different "types" of maps:
a: Full featured for the GO series and similar TT's
b: Basic map features for the PDA's and older TT's running on Navcore 7.xxx
c: Carminat and other in car systems
d: Android and Iphone

The chart tells you what Navcore would be needed for a map, but it does not tell if it would really work.
There are too many possible combinations to create reference that covers all.
Maps a and b can be used on other systems, c and d can and will cause problems on some Navcores.

So in general for the 910 map series you can keep it to the 910.4892 maps with all features or use the featureless versions suited for the PDA.
All the other maps that offer IQ Routes and ALG can work, but there is no guarantee.
IMHO your best option is to test some of my installers, check different emulations and use a 910.4892 map.
