TomTom one XL2 latest map installation

Hi there i Have just aquired a more uptodate map for my device as my device does not have an SD card slot could somebody comment on the steps required to install and activate the new maps?


im aware that the methods vary between map versions and that there are a variaty of command line tools and applicatjons available to make these steps simpler.


with your assistance i simply need a nudge in the correct direction.

the map i have is United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_905_4754

the device is a newer TomTom XL 2

1. Maps are navcore specific, rather than device specific. Run [size=85]TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} Post the results here.
2. There is only 1 method & only 1 patcher is required.[/size]

thanks I think I may have been looking at older methods then, I'll find out what navcore I have and whether the maps I acquired are compatible.

managed to find my configuration screen, do any of the numbers here relate to the navcore version?

Please follow the instructions we provide if you expect good help.
There is a reason why Tendriver did not ask for a screenshot but pointed to the correct program.

OK I thought it was bit of a cheeky shot in the dark as I was on site today and couldn't get to a windows computer.

Please see below output from the config reader:

Your navcore is FINE.
Unzip the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_905_4754 map.
Remove the 885.4009 map folder from your device.
Copy the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_905_4754 map folder into your device.
Patch the 905.4754 map with FastActivate 09.05.2013 Read the instructions first!
Patch the 9.465 navcore with the 2 files in 9.465 SE ttsystem.rar.
Disconnect & reboot. Done!
