TomTom One XL Classic - No map found ! France

Sun Oct 20, 2013 7:53 am

Hi everybody,

I have a bad problem ! I hope you can help me for my first topic here :)

I have an old TomTom One XL Classic and I wanted to update the map. It's running Navcore 8.0.10 and I updated the map with the automatic installer for France_915_5110.
But, when I turned on ... "No maps found!"

I did the following:

1. Connect the device to my PC via USB cable.
2. Backup all files, then deleting the old map folder (France in this case).
3. Run the automatic installer for France v915.
4. After install was successful, I checked for the France folder which is there (meta.dct wasn't here, so I used Fast Activate and it appeared).
5. Disconnect the device from my PC and turn it back on. Message displays: No maps found!
6. When I using fast activate Infos, i have this :

ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE
DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v8)
DeviceSerialNumber=PBxxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=55016
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

Map(s):
G:\France_915_5110\

Storage:
Size 977MB, Free 551MB

7. So I tried to modify the file "CurrentMap.dat" with : /mnt/sdcard/France_915_5110/ but it's the same ... no maps found

The Current Map is not recognized ... (It's a big trouble because my backup with old map is gone)

Does anyone know how to proceed?

Thank you !

You forgot to patch your 8.010 navcore with FastActivate Latest Update option 3.
