Some help for Tomtom XL

Sun Apr 14, 2013 2:11 pm

Hi.

My friend has this kinda old Tomtom XL with maps that needs to be updated. Unfortunately, I´m not an expert on which versions this GPS can receive, therefore I´m asking for some help?

Perhaps too much quest has confused me, because another site and this forum don't agree.

Best way to do it:
Give it back to your friend and let him do it himself.
No point trying to fix something for someone if there is no knowledge....

My knowledge how to is very good and that is not going to be a problem or is not my question. My question is still and only what version this GPS is ready for.

What is the exact disagreement?

The moderatorer in this forum did some changes to my first post, so maybe it would be best to leave it that way.
To cut some corners and avoid to waist time someone in here maybe will supply an answer to the qustion?

We can't help you, unless you help us by answering the questions that we ask.

1. To my knowledge no mod here edited your posting - we only do so if there is a good reason
2. In the general section are several recent threads in regards to XL models
3. In the Navcore section you will find the latest Navcore version modified by myself to work on basically any TT
4. Your answers so far still don't show any of the knowledge you claim to have

To answer you question simply check the map chart in the 905 map thread.

I don't see anything in your first post that needs any changing. I do see where you did a bit of editing in the first post.

And will my answer to that qustion do any changes to your answer to my qustion in post #1 or are we just wasting time deliberately? Could your reply to this qustion also contain an answer to my qustion in post #1?

1. It depends on your answer.
2. You may be, but I assure you that we don't waste time deliberately!!
3. It depends on your answer.

In the meantime, you may want to read Downunder's post 7 points 2 & 3!!

I have no idea what you think you are right about!
Here is a perfect example of wasting time deliberately!!!!

You guys obviously don't get along... ;)

Although I can't pinpoint the reason...

Hahaha, let me try talking to the Banana Guy...

As a way of small repayment, I'm taking Banana Man a little bit by the hand and will show him how to do things.

I should be able to do that by now.

No offence to anyone. ;)

It appears that bananclaus wants to play games, rather than actually getting any help.
