Problem with new map on One V3

Wed Sep 11, 2013 6:43 pm

Hello All,

I'm having a problem with my TomTom One 3rd edition.

I have upgraded to bootloader 5.5128, Navcore 8.562.
Using a Benelux map 880.3865 works like a charm.

Now I have updated the device to use a bigger SDHC card, ie soldered an adapter into it.
When I copy the original files to the 4GB SDHC card, everything works.

Now, when I delete the Benelux map and put in the Western Europe 910.4973 map, patch it and try the card, the device gives me a white cross in a red circle.

I'm currently downloading Europe 915.5110 to see if this might help, but is there anything you can tell me I should try? Am I overlooking something?

Thanks a lot in advance!

EDIT: To answer my own post, Europe 915.5110 works perfectly. Apparently my other card was bad, or unfit for my device.

Thanks for the update!
In general the red cross means the Navcore can't be started, due to being incomplete or faulty.
Of course, like in your case, same happens if the SD itself is faulty.
If you use a MicroSD adapter it is best to use some sticky tape to hold the SD in place - those adapters tend to loose the grip on the SD.

Note to self: check Engrish before submitting.

Sorry, my choice of words in the update was wrong. The card was ok, it was a problem with the map.

Thanks for the heads-up about the adapter losing grip on the micro-SD. I'll make sure to put some tape on it.
