problem update tomtom XL IQ Route

Tue Feb 26, 2013 5:52 pm

hello,
I just retrieve the map to my tomtom XL IQ Route: Western_Europe_900_4601.
I also downloaded the latest version of fastactivate.
I deleted all the contents of my tomtom, I connect to tomtom home to do all the updates.
I restart in order to create the tt.bif
I remove the card with winrar unzip files cspeech (because not enough space on the memory of the GPS and not speech recognition).
I then copy the map folder to the root of the tomtom.
I copy to the root of tomtom fastactivate.exe
I execute in administrator mode.
I realized successfully steps 1 to 3 inclusive.
4 tells me the error: tomtom HOME profile DLL not found

information obtained here with step 7:
TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName = TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceVersionHW = XL IQ Routes Edition
BootLoaderVersion = 55277
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber = 9465
ApplicationVersion = 1074274.2
CurrentMap =
CurrentMapVersion = 0.0
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found ...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found ...

I run my tomtom and I get an error message: You can not use this map GPS: Western_europe-666

can you help me?
I made a wrong choice of card in the process?
thank you in advance,

there is no available meta code for this version of the map

Tue Feb 26, 2013 10:56 pm

Download Instructions:

A map can't be activated until a meta code is posted with it !!!
Meta codes are posted as soon as we get them, so DO NOT ASK!!!

How big do we have to write it so a user would read it?

TS said that he got the follewing message You can not use this map GPS: Western_europe-666.
@yuriyggg mentioned there is no available meta code for this version of the map.
TS was only using Fastactivate and I think that he was not awhere of the fact that there was no meta. So I think nobody asked for a meta.

1. Post 3 is a quote from the Download Instructions: found in post 1 or 2 of every Navitotal map thread!! If jean2352 had read the Download Instructions:, he would have known to check for a meta code before downloading the map.
2. So I think nobody said that anybody asked for a meta.

It just cnfirms that noone takes the time to read anymore, they register, download and if not working post a request straight away.
That's why I would say: we should simply ignore all requests that relate to a missing meta code!
This would give the user time to think and read ;)
