Problem update France map with TT Start

Hi !

TomTomHome 2 informed me 950.6492 map is available for my TT Start v9.057.

I found your awsome web site and downloaded the 3 parts France 950 6492 with Automatic Installer & Patcher.
I erased the "France" folder on the TT and then started installation.
It seemed to work perfectly but after disconnection of the USB cable a message appeared on the screen : "This map can not be used with this device".

Is there something wrong in my procedure ?

To confirm that the 6492 map is patched, look in the 6492 map folder for a .meta.dct file. No meta.dct file = map not patched. Put FastActivate.exe & a copy of your ttgo.bif file in the map folder. Run Option 2.
If you have a .meta.dct file in the map folder, run FastActivate option 3 to patch the navcore.

You're right. There is not .meta.dct file in my map folder, just a .meta file.
I understand when I click option 2 :

Does it mean the rar map file is errored ?
Should I download it again ?

Run FastActivate option 1 to update the meta.txt. Now re-run FastActivate option 2 to patch the map.

Clicking option 1 then option 2 gives me the same error : France-100380.meta => .dct ERROR

But maybe I found something :
I consulted the last update of Meta codes file. The only line concerning France 950 map is :
XX XX XX... France-100381.meta ; France 950_6493

Does it mean that the meta code for France-100380 (France 950_6492) is not available yet ?
I hope it's the explanation of my problem ! I've spent short nights since few days

Yes. Only the France 950_6493 meta code is available.

Waiting for this code or the next update I installed the map 945. It is ok.

France 945.6175 is superseded by 950.6493. Why not use 6493???

I thought Cspeech, ASR and HNR are useful functions not available in 6493 version.
But now I've just got information. You're right, it seems obvious that I should stay on Map 950 in 6493 version.

I download this map and update my TomTom ASAP.

You are right, they are useful functions, if a unit supports them. I see you found out that yours doesn't.
