All Maps 955/956

I tried to get the Western Europe 1GB 955 6801 but when I unpack the map is more than 1GB (1,24GB) and the navcore is about 200Mb... this does not fit into a 1GB card ... do I do something wrong?

NO, TT keeps enlarging the map sizes, which is making it difficult, for owners of small internal memory units with no SD card slot, to find maps that will fit.

Have Tomtom XL 340 S

Looking for map of St. Maarten. The caribbean area would be nice too. Searching for maps my only guess would be Southern US and Mexico but I'm not sure if that would actually contain the island of St. Maarten in the Caribbean.

The correct procedure is to PM the Uploader of the map with your issue.

as I am not able to find a map less than 1GB including navcore (maybe somebody can help and tell me where in this site.... thanks) this means I would need to buy an SD of 2GB? does it works in a TomTom GO Classic?

Get a 4GB SDHC card & you won't have to worry about map sizes for quite awhile. You will need to upgrade your bootloader before you can use a SDHC card.

I installed iberia 955.6747 map on sd and activated it all is Ok but when I use tomtom home it tells me its 950.6747.
Any idea ?

How is the map folder named in the device?

I suspect it is just a typo.
There is a .pna file in the map folder. Open it with notepad. It will tell you exactly what map you have.
Example from : United_States_2GB 955.6746

It seems to be ploy to get you to buy a membership.
I get the same message trying to download the second part of a file
although I can download much larger files from the same site.

I googled the name of the file and found a link from another source.
I then downloaded the whole file from FileFactory !
