Re: All New Maps 950/951.XXXX

Thanks for this, but I'm having trouble getting it to work.

I updated FastActivate, and then the navcore. I closed FastActivate and then I ran the map exe (Brazil 950.6492_Installer.part1.exe) and it didn't report any problems.

But when I start the device it uses the old map. There are 2 folders: "Brazil" (old map) and "Brazil_950_6492" (the new one). I tried deleting the old map but that just brings up a red screen.

After that, I restored my backup and tried again, same problems.

Running "My device info" on FastActivate:
ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom START
DeviceVersionHW=START
DeviceSerialNumber=GUxxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=55282
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9510
ApplicationVersion=1234792.2
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0
Map(s):
F:\Brazil_950_6492\
Storage:
Size 1884MB, Free 1420MB

Any help is appreciated.

Nevermind. I tried what tendriver said on a previous post:

"put FastActivate.exe & a copy of your ttgo.bif file in the 6493 map folder & patch the map with Option 2."

After that, I deleted the old map folder and it worked fine.

Thanks!

Please sent PM to the uploader with the relevant details.

I see that the European 1GB-maps are very, very close to getting too big to fit on 1GB-devices.
One has to delete almost all extra voices, zip-codes, raster and other trivia to get it fitting.

I'm afraid we will have to skip the poi-file of these maps in the very near future and replace it with the poi-file of the area for which you have most interest.

Central and East Europe 950 6544 946 mb
Europe Central 950 6544 954 mb
Europe 1GB North 950 6544 901 mb
Europe 1GB South ` 950 6544 938 mb
