I would like to post an update of my findings when trying to download 905 zip.

I was unable to download using my laptop/desktop running XP with IE or Firefox from post #1

I was PM'd the file after asking for help - many thanks

I then attempted to download from post #21 - this was successful

I then attempted to download from post #1 using my smartphone - this too was successful.

I hope this helps others.

I've downloaded navcore 9.401 cab le and I am trying to put Western Europe map 905.4977, but is says that I can not use this map on my device (an TOMTOM one xl with original map - western europe also).
anyone can help? thank you very much

Please check the instructions in the 905 map thread.
I can't help as the map you refer to is not listed anywhere.

If you mean Western Europe 905.4799 or Western Europe 905.4797, they are both usable.
Put FastActivate & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the unzipped map folder. Run FastActivate "Update meta.txt". Now run FA to patch the map. The 9.401 navcore must be patched also.

The Tomtom web page indicates in both the text and the map icon that Greece includes Cyprus (or at least 52% of Cyprus (whether this means the 52% of the island which is the Republic of Cyprus ie not Northern Cyprus or 52% of the roads in the Republic is unclear, but I suspect the former given its historic ties to Greece)). Perhaps the map icon to which the link leads should be modified?

I install today the downloaded Europe Card 905.4799 on my Carminat TomTom with Navcore 8.842 . No problems
Before there was only the installed Benelux card 855.2938 on my Renault Scenic III when he was New (Sept.2010)
But now work my GPS carminat TomTom with the Europe 905.4799 card.

But i have one question, can i start this illegal card on my TomTom Home and check for other things ?
or is that a risk ?

I have always used TomTom Home to check and download any updates such as map sharing or/and QuickGPSfix_Updates to the memory card/map and have never had any problem. (even when being logged on)

There appears to be a problem with the first part download of Europe_905_4754 with or without installer. The first part in each is only 300kb..Thanks for all the good work!!
