AU 905_4757 with FastActivator 02/03/2013 fails to register

Mon Mar 04, 2013 2:38 am

I am having trouble with AU 905_4757 and FastActivator 02/03/2013.
I even tried an older version of fast activator without success.
It creates the dct file for pda but fails to register in the app after the dct file is copied to the map dir.
This is the right Map version for PDA isn't it?

Thanks
Teeny

The .dct file has to be created inside the map folder, the application does not need patching (unless you bought the program ;) ).
FA can not register the program, if it is installed correctly and you got a dct inside the map folder it will work.

Sorry my bad,
I cannot get FA to run directly in the pda SD folder to patch the Map.-perhaps because it is a "Mobile Device" via activesync, it fails to create the dct?
Only by copying the map folder to a HDD and the .bif file to the root of c:\ and then copying the .dct file back when it has been created to the real folder on the pda appears to be the only way I can get FA to run the way it was intended.
Even then I still can't seem to be able to create a patched map for the pda. (TT version 7.917)

Is 905.4757 the correct map for pdas?- perhaps I am trying to patch the wrong map?
thanks
Teeny

Simply use a copy of the map on a folder on your PC.
Add a copy of your ttnavigator.bif, FastActivate and the meta.txt into that folder.
Run FA and when done copy the created .dct file into the map folder on your PDA.

Thanks DownUnder35,
that's pretty much what I have figured out.
Is the Map AU 905_4757 the correct map for PDA/Win Mobile (7.9x) or is it 905_4756?(no Meta yet)
Both are listed on the chart.
Thanks again

It should work, just check it ;)

Is there a way to activate the 905 maps for android devices with no bif file?

I guess you already answered the question ;)
You'll need at least a valid deviceID.

For future map updates. Download & upzip the map to your desktop. Put FastActivate 17.02.2013 & a copy of your TTNAVIGATOR.BIF file in the map folder. NOW run FastActivate 17.02.2013 to patch the map. Then copy the patched map into your card.

4756 & 4757 are both compatible, but as you know, only 4757 is usable at this time.
