1. Yes.
2. There isn't one until you create it.

According to your previous post you have already managed to start Tomtom, You don't need to rename it if it works.

THE BINATONE B430 USES ACTIVESYNC/WMDC TO CONNECT TO A PC, YOU MUST USE A CARD READER OR THE MAP WILL NOT BE PATCHED!

Copy AutoActivate.exe OR FastActivate.exe to the ROOT of the SD card and run it on your PC.

Disconnect the device from the PC, For future reference there is no need to connect it with a USB cable.

Using a card reader the file structure will look similar to this...
NOTE: E:\ is what drive letter i assumed your card reader is assigned

E:\AutoActivate.exe OR FastActivate.exe (Either will do)
E:\SHELL.ini (Tells the device to run what's on the SD card)
E:\TTNavigator.bif
E:\UK and ROI map folder\Cline.dat (+Other files)
E:\MobileNavigator\MobileNavigator.exe (Tomtom application)
E:\Zip\UK Postcode files

The map folder must not be in another folder, ie, Open My Computer, Open Card reader, Open map folder, See map files (Cline.dat, etc...)

Once the card looks like the above, run Auto/FastActivate.exe

UK&ROI map folder goes in the root of your card, not in another UK&ROI map folder. speed cam files go in the UK&ROI map folder, not a speed cam folder.

No, the drive letter makes no difference.

thanks for the image. looking how you have set folder in your mem card, i need ttnavigator.bif file and zip folder missing. thanks again. i am really slow with this and appreciate your help

i need ttnavigator.bif file and zip folder before i can autoactivate. i feel i am close to solving the puzzle. really tired and needing sleep. gonna give it another 3 hours max tonight to configure it. many thanks

you say i have to connect device. i have been told not to connect device fatbuyfun, instead use usb memory card reader and do the same steps. when i did connect by binatone device and go to the root directory it would not let me copy fastactive.exe on to the device storage, it kept on saying no memory left on storage. still a bit confused how i get the zip folder ttnavigator bif

i have sorted all the folders to look exactly like yours. just need tofigure how i get zip folder and ttnavigatorbif.

please tell me this is right. i have just connected my device and copied everything to my hard drive. i saw ttnavigator file which i have copied to my memory card. going to run fastactive.exe see what happens

just tried fastactive update meta text did nothing. maps/vpoices/speedcams was okay and stored meta text file to root of memory card.ttsystem/pndnavigator found nothing also tomtom home also found nothing and still no zip folder.

The ttsystem/pndnavigator and tomtom home buttons on FastActivate.exe are not needed for Windows CE devices

Create the Zip folder yourself

Tomtom will generate the TTNavigator.bif file itself when you start Tomtom

Is there a file that ends in .meta.dct in the map folder?

happy days. really close now. just turned device on and changed language to english and tried 57,600 com7 and had no for 3 minutes. changed 115,000 com7 ang gps is working. at present it wont let me post code search, find alternative route, call poi, view route, clear route, manage favourites, manage poi;s and its telling me memory card is protected. the device is stable really impressed so far, cant wait to use when it works. please help me

i did not know how to create zip folder so could not get ttnavigatorbif. what i did this i copied ttnavigator bif from my binatone device and started fastactive to which it generated meta file. now that i have put memory card back in to usb card reader and the meta file is gone. ttnavigator bif file form binatone is still there. when i turned the device responded brilliantly when i changed 115,000 com7. what am i doing wrong

yes there is United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-424.meta 189kb and this United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-424.meta.dct 1kb

maps are working as it picked my gps status. navigation is working the only thing that is not work is post codes and the other few features not major

i have just noticed my ttnavigator.bif file is from 01/01/2007 cause its from binatone b430 does that make a difference or do i nned 2011 like yours.

okay i am slow no doubt. right click root sd card option new folder, rename folder to Zip. hopefully it was easy as that. where i Copy the two UK postcode files to a folder called Zip. i have looked everywhere and locate these files. i think this is all i need. also i have to manually set pois or something i read on another post.

1. Voices (click the link) is a good place to start.
2. You can use the ttnavigator, if it is from the same navcore version as you are copying it to.
