TomTom Go 740 Live

Mon Mar 14, 2011 9:13 pm

Hello everyone, I have a question. I own the TomTom Go 740 Live and I currently have North_America_2GB Version 825.2157 and I want to update to the latest one. I am completely new to this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Well I think I got it. I am downloading North_America_2GB_865_3254 right now and I already downloaded FastActivate 01.03.2011 {1.8.6.5}.
Hopefully everything works out.

1 small problem. You chose the wrong map. You want North America 865.3245 or North America 2GB 865.3245, not 865.3254.

Thanks for the reply but what exactly is the difference with them? Because I already downloaded and installed North_America_2GB_865_3254.

Good Question. I would think that 3254 would be a newer file than 3245? Can you explain this tendriver?

As the chart in post 1 of the 865 map thread will tell you, 3245 is full featured & 3254 is half featured. No cspeech or ASR.

The first 3 digits of a map denote the Edition. The last 4 digits are the version & has nothing to do with newness. All versions of an Edition are released at the same time.

Thanks for letting me know that tendriver. I should have read into it a little more,
I guess that explains why I don't have the cspeech or ASR files in the map folder like I had before. :-)

I will re download the correct files.

Thanks again.
