Problem to find a map of USA working on a tomtom xl iq routes edition

Postby ggdorm » Mon Jul 08, 2013 12:41 pm

Hello,

After trying several cards, I can not find one that works on my GPS. Lately, I've tried without success the map "United States 2GB 895.4436" from this website.
Does somebody can help and inform me about a map of USA that works on my device? Initially, the GPS was equipped with map europe that I deleted.
Here are the technical details:

tomtom xl iq routes edition
app 8,411 (1219/09019) OS: 301792
GPS V1.20, Boot 5.5128
western and central europe map V825.2157

Thank you in advance for your help ...

Jerome

What is stopping you from using the 910 maps?
Instruction can be found in the map thread.

Welcome to Navitotal.
Current navcore for a XL IQ Route unit is 9.510.
Maps are navcore specific, rather than device specific. United_States_2GB_910_4892 is current & is compatible with 9.510.

Thank you for your answer Downunder35m!

I downloaded a 9.10 map on another forum. I installed and patched it. Tomtom Home informed me that the was activated but when I booted my GPS, it tells me that there is any map in its memory.
With the map "United States 2GB 895.4436", the GPS tells me: "Map problem. You can't use this map on this device."

For you, can i use the United_States_2GB_910_4892 [1550MB]?

Thank you very much.

It appears that you have made a grievous error. You went to another site and downloaded their software and expect us here at Navitotal to support that software. We have no idea of what they did and we cannot with any degree of accuracy support someplace else. You were given the correct information here by the TT mods and yet you went somewhere else. Navitotal has a wondeful TT section for you to get the necessary software and when you do that we can support you properly. I don't mean to insult you at all. I'm just saying what needs to be said!

As a follow up to chas's post, for quality control reasons, Navitotal does not support anything downloaded elsewhere. I suggest the you go back to the other forum for help!!
