Navcore 9.4 + 885.4009 maps

Postby n0naud » Sat Feb 25, 2012 1:25 pm

Yep! I do.

Activator's meta files had been updated with the meta corresponding with these map.
81 D0 DF 16 AF 2C BC 70 07 67 6A 68 9C 87 72 1D Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB-512.meta ; Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB 885_4009

But when i start the Go730, always the same message
maps Europe-512 are not compatibile with the device

I will try with these meta :
0D 5F 33 0D AB D7 78 BF 39 35 07 9D 61 3A C2 08 Western_and_Central_Europe-512.meta ; Western_and_Central_Europe 885_4009

There is no such key ('Europe-512.meta') in keyfile 'Meta.txt'
'Europe-512.meta' - Error

What activator are you using? Is the map on the internal or a SD card?

I tryed with Albert's EA 6.1 and FastActivator Premium 1.8.8.1

I think I have found what was wrong. I've donwloaded 885.4009 and meta are for 885_4009 ? That's why it isn't working???

All files are stocked on a SD Card. (Navcore 9.400 and MAP)

1. This should not make any difference.

2. Confirm that there is a ttgo.bif file in the root of the card.

1. OK, so this is not the problem. Issue is different.

2. Yes there is ttgo.bif on the SD Card.

Put a copy of the ttgo.bif file & FA Premium in the map folder. Run FA Premium & click just the first 2 buttons 1 at a time left to right.

Nothing change.

I think is the file Europe-512.meta in the MAP FOLDER who is wrong.
And so, Activator can't create a dct file to patch correctly the map.

I redownload another map.

Because the error message sais that there is no key in the Europe-512 corresponding. And I have no message => dct ok!

How to activate map if meta data is not updated to last version of FastActivate_Premium_edition_v1.8.8.1.
Download [Please Register or Login to download file] , if your map is on the root of your device install BBS Tools on the root of your device, if your map is on memory card install BBS Tools on memory card.
After installing on your device or memory card open file with name BBS_Tools, choose your language, after that go to Search Device Unit, find where is your device, now go to KeyGen, Meta.txt and edit.
You have now opened notepad with all meta data from new or previos maps version, if your meta data is not on this list copy and paste to notepad, save and look on the left, you will see two keys (Activate Maps In Device), start this, select map and press on Activate Map/Speed Cam and that's it.

Thank you for your post & concern.

The FastActivate Premium meta.txt file is updated with the click of 1 button.

I have confirmed that the meta for this map is included in the FastActivate Premium meta.txt file after updating it.

Thanks all, by reading this thread I have been able to fix the problem of updating my 730 to
Navcore 9.4 auto update from TomTom
Map Europe_885_4008
I was getting "You cannot use this map on this device ..."
Followed tendriver advise of "putting a copy of the ttgo.bif file & FA Premium in the map folder. Run FA Premium & click just the first 2 buttons 1 at a time left to right."
Never had to put them in the map folder before but it worked so a good result

Thanks all, solti

Opps wrote to soon.

I had checked map Europe_885_4008 in TomTom Home and I could access it, before I had been getting "You cannot use this map on this device ...". Disconnected from PC rebooted TomTom asked to select a map and the error message "You cannot use this map on this device ..." came up.

Ran TomTom Current Configuration {29.09.2011} and got this result

TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom GO 730
DeviceVersionHW=GO 730
BootLoaderVersion=10012
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9401
ApplicationVersion=862279.1
CurrentMap=Europe_885_4008
CurrentMapVersion=885.4008
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found...
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
Not Found...

If I am reading this correct map is patched. What do i check next?

Strange I can access map in TomTom Home but not when disconnected.

Look for a .meta.dct file in the map folder.
