No more meta codes ?????

Tue Jun 26, 2012 5:24 am

Searching other sites for information:

It seems TomTom have now closed the loop where using certain software the meta code could be extracted from the 890.xxxx series of maps..

Saying now we have to rely on those who purchase a map and share its meta code for others.

Correct/Incorrect ???????

Thanks, but none of any use as they are already listed elsewhere and not what I'm looking for.

I guess the meta code is an encryption key of some sort? How do you find it even from a TomTom-bought map file?
Is there a tutorial anywhere explaining how meta codes work? (I had a look, but couldn't see anything).

1. You might look in the TomTom-bought map folder!!
2. There isn't anything in the TUT sub-forum.
3. If you look in the sticky section of the other sub-forums, you will find what you are looking for.
