Your Navigo will work with the 895.4444 UK & Ire map. I had the same error message on my Navigo unit when I tried to update my maps (same map and navcore version as yours). The problem was cured when I used the updated meta file. The older one had a mistake in one of its values.

Yep, all sorted. Did you read post 13?

Have I missed something here? What new meta file? Are you saying there is a new one now included with the map download, and that I need to download it again? Sorry to be so thick.

Check post#13 and the sticky in the general section - should be clear after that.

I have been there and it's still as clear as mud.
I have just downloaded UK&NI 4444 again, activated with fast activate and re-installed, but am still getting the same error.
Fast activate runs with no error shown.

What is the exact error message?
Did you patch the Navcore or only the map?
Do you have a .dct file inside the map folder?
Did you use the meta code posted by Tendriver?

What is the exact error message? Unable to start, not enough memory available.
Did you patch the Navcore or only the map? The navcore was already patched, and it was OK with map series 890
Do you have a .dct file inside the map folder? Yes
Did you use the meta code posted by Tendriver? I used Fast Activate, which I assumed downloaded the correct meta

The map seems to be fine, it is your installation that causes problems.
Several of the CE version need a specific procedure to install corectly, that often includes a fresh install with a new map.
If all is working fine with the older map, what happens if add the (now activated) new map?
If you have a mapsettings.cfg file inside the new map folder delete it.

OK, I have just tried adding the new activated 895 series UK map. On loading TomTom the old 890 map loaded fine by default, so I went to manage maps and selected switch maps. The NaviGo locked up. When I tried to restart TomTom, I got the Can not start, not enough memory error again.
I'm a little reluctant to re-install the 7.910 (9185) navcore again because, quite honestly I can remember how I got it working in the first place, and I am no technical whizz kid. Looks like I may have to stick with my 890 map for now and just hope the next map release will install as easily as it did.
Thanks

TIME OUT!!!!

You navcore is OK!!!!!!
You 4444 map is OK!!!!!

The UK & ROI 895.4444 meta was BAD.

New meta, checked & is GOOD!!

You are still trying to patch 4444 with the old meta code. FastActivate will create a .dct with the bad meta, but it won't work.

Solution: Put the attached meta.txt file, FastActivate 1.8.9.0 & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the 4444 map folder. Delete the old .meta.dct in the map folder & repatch the map.

Ahhh, now we're getting somewhere. Just one thing though, how do I "repatch" the map? Just by doing the above?

Many thanks Tendriver for being so patient with me. That did the trick.

You are Welcome. Enjoy!!

You can delete those 3 files from the map folder, if you wish.
