@ tendriver
Sorry, but when I posted this picture, I'm sure, quite sure indeed, there was no update, even if you think you remove all the posts. Sorry for my English very school

Europe_870_3460 Part02.rar link in filefactory has been dead during the whole day. All the others are fine.

After whole day on tries and timeouts it finally works.

Hi. Can someone please tell me the difference, if indeed there is one, between Europe and Western and Central Europe maps? Judging from the size and that Europe seems to have HNR (although my W & CE maps all have House Numbering so?), I can't seem to see any. Many thanks.

If look coverage pictures from the first page of this thread you can see that Europe map set has Russia and Turkey included.

Fair comment, however, my current W & CE map (v8.65) does contain Russia and Turkey...

You can go to tomtom web site and choose to buy maps there and they will tell you the differences. W&E something like 300-400M smaller to fit in 2G devices.

This is what I found so far:

These are missing
Detailed coverage: Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia
Connecting roads: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Serbia, Belarus

And this
W&E: Roads covered: over 7.6 million km / over 4.7 million miles
Europe: Roads covered: over 10 million km / over 6.2 million miles

1. You are correct.
2. I don't think I removed ALL of the posts. You posted while I was building the update, so I let your post stay.

Thankyou tvainio, however, you are comparing with Europe with Western Europe, not Western and Central Europe (doesn't exist in v8.70 according to TT Website). It appears now that what was Western and Central Europe is now just called Europe, however, v8.65 had both and thus my original question. I would assume that Europe 870_3460 is the fully fledged Western and Central Europe (non-2GB) of the past...

Thanks biggerdave. It appears as though points 2 and 3 are saying the same thing, however, I would think 3 is more accurate as I don't think there is a 3406 for Europe or a 3460 for W & CE...in this case, are Europe 3460 and W & CE 3406 the same do we think?
