Tomtom one- North America maps

Hello,

I have Tomtom One (4N00.005). Which version do I need for latest north America maps (Canada and U.S.)? How will I know which Navcore version I have? Is there any guide or instruction that's available to download the latest maps into a SD card?

Hi Tendriver,

I run the tomtom config.exe and this is the results:

TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE
DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v4)
BootLoaderVersion=53029
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7903
ApplicationVersion=9183
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found...
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
Not Found...

What should I do next? or which version is compatible with my tomtom for the latest map for North America? Please advise.

I look inside the tomtom folder and it has USA and Canada 865_3261 ( I believe this is the SD card that was updated in 2011). Just wondering this info might help to determine which version I would need to get the 2012 or 2013 maps for USA and Canada. Thanks!

None of the 895 Edition USA & C maps have a meta posted, therefore, they are not usable.

So I can't get any new updates with this Tomtom one version that I have, is that correct? Please advise.

Confirm your ONE v4 has a SD card slot.

These are the only 895 maps that are usable from Navitotal or anywhere else, except TT Home:

North_America_2GB v895.4438.....Requires navcore 9.02X or higher
United_States_2GB v895.4438.....Requires navcore 9.02X or higher
United_States v895.4444............Usable on your ONE.

The usable maps in the previous Edition (890) is no better.

What is navcore? is that an application similar to Tomtom home? do I need to install navcore to be able to use the maps? Is Navcore compatible with TT one? Thanks!

Like Windows is to a PC, a navcore is to a TT, it's the operating system.

The navcore installed on your ONE is 7.903.

North_America_2GB v895.4438.....Requires navcore 9.02X or higher
United_States_2GB v895.4438.....Requires navcore 9.02X or higher
United_States v895.4444............Usable on your ONE.

Since I need navcore 9.02 to be able to install the v895.4438 maps, then I would need to download navcore 9.02 'coz mine is an older version which is 7.903, is that correct?

Or another option is I can just install United_States v895.4444 as it is usable in the U.S. only?

If that's the case, what is the link for me to download?

1. That is correct.
2. That is also correct, if you don't need Canada coverage.
3. Maybe look in the All New 895.XXXX Maps thread.

Also, what do you mean by meta post? - “A map can’t be activated until the meta is posted here!”

Lastly, which thread can I find to download the navcore 9.02x or higher? and if there's any instructions or guide after i download the 895 maps and the navcore?

Please check the instructions in the map thread and our tutorials.
It helps if you understand the rems used and get the general know how ;)
