How to install navigon and maps on a Android phone?

have the app on the phone, tried download and place maps in the map directory on the phone but does not work. Is there a comprehensive instruction somewhere?

well, installed new version of navigon over android market and then copied the maps from here to the same maps folder and now its working!!! Great, thanks for a great forum!
