New maps less data ?

Postby cenelec » Sat Jul 04, 2015 12:04 pm

When I search for map updates I find some older maps has more data than the latest , for example iGO R3 HERE (Navteq) Europe 2014.Q2 the UK fbl map has 89660kb and iGO R3 (Navteq) Europe 2013.Q2 the UK fbl map has 93095kb. Can someone please enlighten me on why this is.

Because of global warming, countries are becoming smaller...kidding. I assume what katastrofe said is right. Bigger doesn't always mean better.
