How do I install new maps?

I have an android kitkat 4.4. car radio with igo primo satnav (will have to check which version) and I urgently need maps for western europe on is as I am going on a road trip in two days and I just found out that I only have the UK map on the radio...

How do I know which type of map I need (I see q2 and q3 and its all Chinese to me) and do I just put them on the gps map sd card? I;ve seen many different file types for download too and am totally confused as to what I need

please if anyone could help a lady so I won't get lost in Europe!

Ive got the gps card here now, the map that is currently on it is a HERE 2013.q4
can or should i NOT install q3 maps then? I haven't found q4 yet

2013Q3 means the map is dated 3rd quarter 2013
2014Q4 dates the last quarter 2014.
This dating is specified for the HERE maps.
TomTom (for igo !!!!) maps often use 2013.09 or 2014.12 for the same period.

Last TomTom is 2015.03, Last HERE (Navteq) is 2014Q4, both available in this forum.
