Hi folks
I have replaced one of my vehicles.
the 2007 Peugeot 308 hatch has been replaced with a 2017 Peugeot 308 station wagon
It has a completely different Navigation system in it
however I placed the 2024 Q2 files on a 8GB USB and plugged it into the NAV/USB port
the unit said loading Nav input
I believe it has loaded the latest maps
I will update to let you know if it was successful
cheers Bernie

G'day Bernie,
Keep us posted as to whether it has new 2024.Q4 maps even though it's now the year 2025.
Cheers.

Update to Maps for Peugeot 308 2017 SW
The update did not change the maps stored in the Nav software.
I have contacted a Peugeot dealer and have been told they no longer support the Nav in their 7 year old vehicles.
Great Peugeot thanks
I am going to have to do some hacking just like when I had the Blaupunkt newyork 830 unit.
lots of research on European websites or peugeot forums worldwide.
Cheers

That's a shame,
One would think they would provide map updates for the life of the vehicle. I'm sure you will be able to do some update down the track. It's a bummer when things don't go to smooth.

bernievink,
How did you go, did you manage to get any new updates?
Cheers.

Hi bondy99
No I have not been able to find any useful updates to my Peugeot 2017 head unit.
I am going to wait till the first service due next.
Then I will take the vehicle to the local Peugeot dealer and press for both firmware and map updates.
Firmware is called SMEG+ and is out of date.
quote for map update is $230 but as part of a $1000 approx. service that is bearable.
on a side note the older 2007 Peugeot which I traded in on my present car, was sold again by the dealer to an enthusiastic buyer.
Not sure if I would ever buy a 17 year old car.

Hi bernievink,
Thanks for the update.
Hmmm, bit of a difficult challenge, one would have thought someone here in Aus has updates but don't want to share, their prerogative I guess.
Used to be a person called Neil but he passed away, he was good at sharing updates to those who could not afford subscriptions.
I still driving a 20 year old car, only because I can do my own minor repairs and servicing. Anything major, different story.
Hope you do well in pressing the Peugeot dealer with firmware and map updates for your vehicle.
Vehicle service can be pricey.
Let me know how you went with the possible map update.
Cheers.
