noob question, but will these FBL files work in conjunction with the older 2013.q4 update? (all the other files like 3dl,fda etc.)

I am looking for South African maps for iGo8. I have tried everything even the buying it route but that is just a big headache as I have a Chinese DDin unit. I have working software but no maps.
