Just to make sure :

When you (or other members) have problems using TTS on Android, one should be first of all aware that TTS in Android doesn't work the same way as TTS in CE.

Primo Android uses the installed TTS engine selected under Android settings. No other installation (TTS engine like in CE) is required. For a TTS Engine under Android, download IVONA TTS, SVOX, Nuance TTS or another and the selected voice files and install the apk file. Then set THAT voice up as the default TTS engine in settings. In Primo's /content/voice folder all you need is a Primo TTS voice file which has been modified to work under Android. But the speaking voice will be the voice setup in Android.

Well installed the Vocaliser APK and voices but still does not work as all the settings are shaded out.

Yes but it says to use ICS apk on later than 2.1 so are you saying the ICS.apk is not necessary? I have the premuium voices installed

The so called ICS.apk is called 4.0+TTS.apk or something similar (ICS is Android 4.0). Could be a misunderstanding.

I have it installed and the Vocalizer voice is working under Android, only under Primo I can't get TTS to work. There is no good Primo Android TTS voice in my language or I am not aware of it. On the other hand, I don't care since TTS is mostly useless around here (wrong pronunciation), at least when I tested on my WinCE device years ago. Could be better these days, but whatever, in a short distance people speak a different language, thus TTS pronunciation is wrong again. That is why I should have to setup Primo to not speak street names in foreign languages, which make TTS useless anyway.

The Australian primo TTS voice works ok but unable to find English UK voices for it,however after moving voice files to int. storage Vocaliser voices can be tested ok but still do not work in Primo 2.4.
I then downloaded the Google voices and they work perfectly with Android.

I am trying to download the TTS Pro for Wince GPS but everytime I click on any link I get bomb barded with ads. I enter the phishing code on that small video click continue but then just get a ad page. This site was cool until this happened :-(
