I purchased TomTom for the iPhone and I'm trying to install the "Radar Safety Speed Cameras with Red Light Cameras at Intersections" on it. I've copied the speedcam files (Safety_Cam_US_Canada_TomTom.ov2 and Safety_Cam_US_Canada_TomTomOv2.ver) to the North_America_2GB folder. But I cannot get the app to recognize speedcam.

Any tips? Guidance??

iPhone 4.2.1 (not jailbroken)
TomTom 1.6.1

All premium content is require activation before copy to the device.....

This is a universal device ID for all tomtom iphone apps, as far as I know it has never changed since it was released.
you need to create a deviceid.txt file with this code for the activation tool to create your dct file

once you have activated the premium content you can copy the content and dct files to your device...

Hmm, so I need to activate something? I read the following so I thought it didn't require activation: "You only activate these files one time. Updates do not require reactivating. USA & Canada cams are free & DO NOT require activation."

(I'm using USA)

I am in the UK.. and all cams require activation on this side of the pond... :-(

but you say you have purchased tomtom app..

so if the cams are free.. then you should be able to get them from tomtom ?

do they list them as in app purchase item or downloadable content ?

Hmm, thanks for the help. It's not available as in-app purchase for TomTom USA. Perhaps I'm SOL and I'll just have to jailbreak and install a pirate copy...
