Papago M6.1 Premium For Iphone 3G/3GS

Tue Jun 15, 2010 3:04 pm

Hi, everyone,

I am sharing my copy of Papago Premium version for iPhone 3G/3GS users. It is not suitable for 2G model because it does not have GPS receiver inside.

Here are some pictures of the software in operation:

1. The main screen (page 1)
266

2. The main screen (page 2)
264

3. The navigation screen
265

Notes:
1) This software can only be installed on jailbroken iPhone.

2) Install Appsync 3.x from Cydia and add repository [Please Register or Login to download file] on your iPhone.

3) After you have downloaded to your PC, unrar and double click on the .ipa file and it will be installed on your iTunes. Then sync your iphone and the application will be transferred.

OR

Install Installous application from Cydia from the above repository. SSH the file through Wifi to your iPhone folder. Open the Installous application and the file will appear on the downloaded column and install it. This method is more suitable for experienced iPhone user. If you are new, please use the above method or google for more information.

The files are here:

GPSForEver,

Would you share with us on how to update the map?

Thanks and regards.

Hi, muncheno,

I have not tried to update yet because the maps inside is 10Feb 2010 release and the latest available in Malaysia is only 2 months later, but I will try when MFM starts to release.

But from what I have read in iPhone blogs, you need to SSH through Wifi to access /var...../Navi/Maps/MFM (I have forgotten the actual location) and paste new map files there. But it takes some time to transfer 200+ MB through Wifi.

There's another way which I thinks it should work but haven't try. This involves the .ipa file. Rename your file from .ipa to .zip. Doubleclick to access the installer file structure which is something like /Payload/Navi/Maps/MFM . Change the files there. I have also read that you cannot extract these files to copy because it may not work. After that, reinstall your Papago through iTunes.

Please try and feedback. If anyone knows and have done it, please share this knowledge.

Thanks.

gpsforever

I do not own an Iphone, but I done it before with a Jailbroken Iphone.

What I do is, install a Iphone file manager in the PC which allow you to access Iphone folder via the PC Explorer.
Then generate a MFM maps based on Android R51 maps.

If not mistaken here.
You need to remove the R51 header and icons (i forgotten which file ext.) from the R51 maps files. Then copy all the files in the correct Iphone folder where the map are store.
Please do not copy the Folder into the Iphone. You need to copy the files overwrite the existing map files without creating any folder.

Thanks for sharing the info.

I will try later because I am waiting for the OS4.0 and the jailbreak for it.

Download 3 part.

With MFM 100415 Maps.

Tested with iPhone 3G 16GB, iOS 4.0 jailbreak with Redsnow, installed Appsync4.0.
Sluggish but can be used. Same problem for other version. iPhone 3GS should be better.

Be happy

Yeah, moscow, I think you give part 1, part 2 and part 2. There's no part 3.

I think we have to wait till tonight. Moscow should be sleeping now.
