You cannot use this map on this device

Wed Mar 16, 2011 7:59 pm

I recently updated to the Uk & ROI 860 maps using the autoinstaller and then a couple of days later when the 865 map came out I upgraded by copying it to my device and then using one of the activators. I have also updated the fuel prices and safety cameras since then.

Tonight I plugged the device into my computer and TomTom Home opened and asked to update eithe the device or the TomTom Home software (possibly both.) Since then when I start the device three maps are listed and selecting any of them produces the following message

Code:
You cannot use this map on this device:
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland161

What can I do to sort this out?

Check your 3 map folders for a .meta.dct file. If they are there, then open the unit's ttgo.bif file with notepad. Lines 9 & 10 are the navcore version, which is ?????.

All three map folders have files that windows recognises as DCT files and have filesnames which end in '.meta'.

And lines 9 & 10 of the ttgo.big file are

Code:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9061
ApplicationVersion=576030.2

Run FastActivate Premium ttsystem option to patch this new official navcore.

If TT Home offers you a new navcore, accept it, then patch it.
