x40 will not connect to pc after last update

Using the se navcore 8.412 on my 740 and it all seems to work ok including my live services but I cannot get it to reconnect to my pc now.

Any ideas?

  • Hold the reset button for 30 seconds (See pic below for what reset button looks like)
  • Then hold the on button for 5 seconds untill it turns on (You should get the black config screen)
  • Plug in your usb
  • Press the reset button once
  • Turn on the unit and it should connect directly to the PC

Thanks for the super prompt reply but my 740 doesn't have that reset button. I have tried a soft reset by holding down the powerbutton for 15 seconds.

if you dont have the reset button, the on/off button acts as the reset you must hold that for 30 seconds instead and follow the instructions above,

Is it all fixed now tho ???
