I finally got it to work, I had to put all the files from old map backup on the SD card with new map folder. I only had the new map folder on SD card and thats why nothing worked. Thanks to everyone that replied. also device now says

Now you see why it is so important to post as much info as possible. All you needed to do was add a copy of your device's togo.bif file to the sd card in addition to the map folder, so 4.1D could see the map.

Thanks again to everyone for the help... Tomtom one new edition is working great, bootloader now says 5.0500 on unit. I can even work it from computer.
