F&H widescreen. Got IGO running, and old version TT6 but can

Postby JohnHuson » Sun May 15, 2011 2:14 pm

I have previously had Navigo's with TT on without a problem. I have loaded working TT7 maps on to this Foehn & Hirsch but with no success. However it does work with an old TT6 package but reacts very slowly so is not much use.
First question: Is it possible to put TT7 on this new widescreen satnav?
Second question: I have not used IGO very much....is it comparable to TT in quality?

Thanks to all who reply. (ex enthusiast from simplesatnav.com)

Newer F&H devices are WinCE 6 so Tomtom 7 prob won't work without the mortscript hack and that creates new problems, however iGO 8/Primo is equally as good as Tomtom and has many more features like TTS, IQ routing, 3D landscapes and building files that the WinCE version of Tomtom does not have, Out of curiousity what error are you getting with Tomtom?

Thanks, 'not enough memory' is the error.

I see that this has been discussed previously and someone posted a link to another forum but it was removed?

Not enough memory error messages are common with Tomtom and are either a lack of physical memory or more likely a problem with the way WinCE applications load dlls into memory, It is possible to use a Mortscript to get around the problem while creating several others.
