Whats the best for Go 550 Live?

Hi all, great forum, thanks. I`ve got a go 550 live,
App: 9.054.531676.1
OS: 515773 (1024, 26/5/2010)
64MB RAM (free: 15mb)
GPS V 1.20
BOOT: 5.5259
MAP: UK ROI v835.2419

don`t know if it`s ever been patched but i`ve downloaded the go950 file and SE_ttsystem.9.026.483454.rar to the sd card. Also got latest 850uk maps and fastactivate from this forum.
I`ve done a backup following the tutorial.
Would i be safe to put this on my 550, and any suggestions would be helpfull as i`m a noob at this.

  • Navcore v9.026 is the latest officiall for your device so yes it will run great ,
  • You do not need the ttsystem just patch the ttsystem with fastactivate premium edition.
  • Delite any ttgo.XXX files from your device and reeboot and connect to THome and TTHome should offer to upgrade your navcore to 9.026

TIME OUT!! You already have navcore 9.054 installed. Why do you want to downgrade to navcore 9.026?????

As i said, I`m a noob at this and don`t wanna knacker anything. The post above says 9.026 is the latest, i`ve got 9.054 which after fishing about on other forums found this out to be the latest so tried patching/activating.For some reason the fastactivate didn`t do the map for me so i used alberts and that worked ok, so i`ve got my maps/postcodes/speedcams up to date.
By the way, what or whom is timed out?

"Time out" means stop what you are doing in order to sort things out. The post above sez 9.026 is the latest official navcore for your device, which really means nothing. The latest official navcore for my 720 is 8.351, but it is running 9.103.
Bottom line, your 550 is running smoothly, and you are a happy camper. Enjoy!!

As tendriver pointed out i said latest officiall navcore, this is the latest offering from TomTom for your device, and will garuntee to run smoothly, but you can run newer navcores i am running 9.103 and my latest is 8.351 just like tendriver.
