Disregard TT Home for now. Do a hard reset by holding in the reset button on the case bottom for 30 secords. If no help, then CUT everything off of the internal but the map folder. Copy in the downloaded 9.205 Navcore & only the pre-patched SE ttsystem & PNDNavigator files from the .rar, overwriting any common files. Disconnect & reboot.

Just done a hard reset, but i'm still having the same issues. I don't know if this is worth mentioning, but when i ran FASTACTIVATE and chose UPDATE META.TXT, it didn't seem to do anything or show any info. Could this be the reason?

1. No, that updates the meta.txt for map patching, which you have already done.

See updated post 16.

OK, Just to clarify, are you saying CUT all files/folders from the TT internal memory except the UK MAPS folder?

hi mate,

just done the following:-

1. Cut/Moved all files/folders except maps folder to another location.
2. Copied the contents of navcore 9.205 folder into the internal mem root
3. Copied the PNDNavigator & ttsystem files from rar to the internal mem root, overwriting any existing files.
4. Rebooted

Still doing the same thing :scratch_one-s_head_

Yes, so you can keep what you cut, if you want to.

1. Open the ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
2. Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
3. ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8350
4. ApplicationVersion=9980
5. "Save as" ttgo.bak
6. Disconnect & reboot.
7. Reconnect. Run TT Home "Update my device". It should install 8.351. Patch it, then try to reboot.

i assume to patch it, i only need to copy the ttsystem and PNDNavigator files only?

2 options.
1. 8.351 is official for your unit, so you can patch it with FastActivate Premium.
2. Download SE_ttsystem.8.351.9982.rar. It contains only a pre-patched ttsystem file, no PNDNavigator required.

you won't believe this :unknw_mini:

it still does not work. If i use the bottom menu bar options, it works fine, but as soon as i touch the map on screen, it greys out + freezes and then reboots after a couple of seconds.

Rats! OK to confirm that it's not a hardware issue, remove ALL files and folders. Load your backup & reboot.

I know how you feel mate. I'm sorry to have to put u through this.

I'm just wondering, is it possible for me to talk to you on skype? msn? or irc? It'd mean we'd get this resolved a lot more quickly.

even the backup was doing the same thing, so i decided to do a FULL FAT32 format. Then i installed a much older backup i had done in 2008, which has the 805 map. This worked instantly, so it looks like something is not right with our setup.

If this helps, I would also like to add mate, that when i reconnected the working TT with the 805 map on it and when the TT Home loaded on PC, it says that i actually need to update the software to version 8.398, not 8.351....so maybe we're looking at the wrong version?
