Update issue TT One XL HD Traffic

Postby Downunder35m » Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:12 am

The chart is still ok, the problem is the TT no longr offers updates.
If they would the 8.010 would be current.
But who cares if it is a V7 or V8 Navcore when you can use the latest V9 instead ;)

yeah well, it took some time to accept that and to set aside the idea that the default NC TT Home offers is the best one.

At the moment that, for me, is not that valid anymore.

I do not think this topic a waste of time as it shows very pressing reasons to go to the dark side and explore what more can be obtained.

Still, this way of dealing with consumer products is, specifically the One XL HD Traffic, is dead wrong as it can be brought back to current life with Downunder's modded NC. And relatively easy... ;-)

TT Home still is the consumer's point of entrance to keep their device up to date and get new maps.

Adapting to more flexible solutions should not be a necessary or even only answer.
Still, I'm very content with all of the moderator's info, work and guidance.

1. You have based this misguided statement on a device that had a very limited distribution footprint, a very short life, due to problems & hasn't been supported by TT for over 4 years. The default NC TT Home offers was, is and always will be the best one, whether you believe/accept it or not.
2. It shows that after 2 years & 78 posts, you still don't have a clear understanding of stock vs. mod.
3. This unit had issues, was pulled off of the market and replaced by a different unit, which was the right thing to do!!
4. This is 100% correct for a stock device but not for a modded device!! See point 2!!
5. Considering the history & circumstances of this unit, TT did the right thing.
6. Thanx!!
