ttgo.bif & FastActivate.exe or AutoActivate.exe

Thu Aug 04, 2011 2:39 pm

I,

I'm a user of Carminat TomTom.
I'm using a copy of my original SdCard with update.
The navcore is 8.842.

I want to install Speedcams and the map France 870.3413 autoinstaller.

The problem, is that I can't activate the map and the speedcams.

I copied the files FastActivate.exe or AutoActivate.exe on the root of my sdcard. With the differents program, I have an error 'File TTGO.BIF or TTNAVIGATOR.BIF not found'.

How can I fix this error and active the map and the speedcams ?
On the window, it is write 3 - Start Tomtom once to create a new TTGO.BIF or TTNAVIGATOR.BIF
What does it mean ? I start the application on my computer. or it is with tomtom in my car ?

Thanks for your help.

Each time you boot your device, a new ttgo.bif or ttnavigator.bif file is created. If neither of these files is in the root of your card, insert your SD card in the device & boot it. Shut it down, remove the card & insert it in your computer. If you now have the needed file, re-run FastActivate. Click the first 3 buttons from left to right.

You said me 'If you now have the needed file, re-run FastActivate. Click the first 3 buttons from left to right. '
and if I don't have one of theses files, what can I do ?

Because, this afternoon, I have plus my card, in my car, start tomtom and then shutdown. And in my computer, I don't see one of theses files.

In my Windows, I show the hidden and protected files.

The files MUST be in the root. Simply because they are recreated EACH time the device boot.
No help if you can't find them.
