I'd like to enter 10 or so addresses in no particular order and have either my GPS (720 with 9.430) or some other software automatically determine the best order and route through all of them.
Does something like this exist?

Not that I'm aware of.

That's too bad, I imagine small businesses that make a lot of deliveries or visits would use something like this. I know I could (garage sale season is near).

iGO Primo on Windows CE based devices can do this.

Obviously Tomtom's are Linux based!

Interesting - I didn't know it was a Linux issue.
I'd be happy with a program to run on my windows PC. At least then I can enter the addresses in my TT in the correct order.

Failing that - I know nothing about Windows CE based devices. Can you suggest a basic (aka cheap) unit that would do what I'm looking for once iGo Primo is installed? I'll check the local classifieds. Thanks.

It's not a Linux issue, just Tomtom doesn't have this feature.

There are 100's of Windows CE devices to choose from, Usually anything that isn't a Tomtom or Garmin branded device, Some are easier to work with than others.

A 480x272 (4.3") display is recommended, Primo will run on 320x240 displays, but it is not an officially supported resolution, more of a homebrew effort.
64MB of RAM is the bare minimum for Primo, 128MB is recommended.

The most important factor though, Is the device currently in a usable state?

There isn't a lot of unlocking information about this particular device around the net!

Is Primo the only version that will do what I'm looking for? I don't mind using an older version if necessary. This won't be my main GPS - used only for garage-saleing :)

The device works fine. I stopped using it less than a week ago when I got my Go720. Only reason I stopped was because the maps were Q3 2010 and I don't think Navigon has anything newer for North America.

I know nothing about unlocking it. If that is my only option to get any use out of it, I won't mind giving it a try, even if for some other Navigon model that "should" work.

I will have to do some research before knowing whether it can be unlocked or not...

It's been a while since i used iGO 8, (The predecessor to Primo) but i'm sure it had the route optimize option like Primo does...

I found this in another forum, does it make sense to you?

I unlocked my 2000S by using miopocket. I renamed mioautorun.exe/mscr to updateme.exe/mscr. I also had to disable the reset and add runwait(... launch.exe) to unlock.mscr in the scripts directory.

MioPocket is known for bricking devices, due to the extensive registry modifications it makes.
