Truck map cannot be used on TT

Hi there,

I have two tomtoms (GO720 and GO530) with identical files on both sd cards.

Unfortunately on GO720 truck map isn't working. It says 'Problem with maps, this map cannot be used on this device: Europe_TRUCK-102617'

Interesting, that if I swap cards (and put GO720 sd card in GO530 it works without any issue).

I've updated meta and maps with fastactive as well as added metacodes manually in the meta.txt file but nothing changed.

How I can fix this issue?

Have you considered that the ttgo.bif files are different from both devices.
If it works on 1 device it should work on the other if you put the correct ttgo.bif on it and run the patch again

I deleted ttgo.bif from internal and sd card.

If my reading is correct then without backup it's difficult to get it back working, correct?

I managed to start the device I added some random simple car map.

I will download new truck map files, to see if that solves the issue.

Yes, that would make sense. FastActivate activates the map to that particular & unique ttgo.bif file on an individual device. So you obviously activated the truck map on the Go 530 which is why it works on that one but not on the Go 720.

A new ttgo.bif file will be generated if it is missing when you start up the device.

You cannot use the same SD card across 2 devices without problems, you'll need 2 x SD cards (one for each device)....or you could remove the *.DCT file from the activated Truck map folder on the Go 530 SD card, then move it to the Go 720 and re-activate the same map on the same SD card on the Go 720....if you decide to move it back to the Go 530 again, you'll have to repeat the same process.

3. You can but it's a waste of time as you already have the same map...see my comment above about how to move it it from the Go 530 to the Go 720

okay I managed to fix it.

I followed this maps-v1xxx/can-activate-usa-canada-mexico-1060-maps-t22037.html

Basically I used fastactive and then renamed mymeta to meta.txt and it worked.

I can launch map now.

That means FA is changed again before changed meta.txt in mymeta.txt and now mymeta.txt in meta.txt ??

My fastactive is from july (couldn't find the newest one) so I read that newest FA needs mymeta so I changed to meta and it worked.
