Toyota MM Tomtom updates failing

Sun Feb 10, 2013 2:13 pm

Hi all,

I have been happily updating "Normal" tomoms using the various maps and tools.
Wife has now got the Toyota Tomtom Multimedia unit and I cannot get new maps working

It has the official novcore (updated via TT Home) and is version 7.827.

I have checked the map chart an ddownloaded WE 900.4600 and UK&I 900.4608 (both are stated as compatible).

I have installed both into a SD card and also tried on the internal memory (UK&I only due to memory).

I have tried FastActivate Premium (dated 07/02/13) and also Albert's EasyActivate V6.14

In all cases, I end up with the read "cannot use map" error.

Any ideas where I might be going wrong, I assume this is no different to a normal TT device.

Thanks in advance for any help

DBJ

You don't mention patching the 7827 navcore.

The navcore was patched using both tools. It says now navcore already patched.

Do you see a .meta.dct file in both map folders?

Sun Feb 10, 2013 6:36 pm

Yes and all are new files.
I am just trying an update on a TTOne using the exact same process, will let you know how that goes

Just put the UK map onto a old tomtom one, patched map with fast activate and it worked first time.
Tried to patch navcore, said already patched

Just to confirm, you patch maps BEFORE you do the navcore

It does not matter which is patched first.

I heard several reports over the time now that most tools have problems patching the Toyota NC.
Are you certain you Navcore is current?
I'm asking as there is a 7.851 Navcore and I was under the impression it is a Toyota NC, you might want to check with Home if there are any updates for your Navcore.
In case it would use the 7.851 I might be able to help you.

Have a look here: Tomtom Eclipse II / Toyota II (toyota aygo) help

The Navcore 9.401 Fan Edition referenced in post 2 of the above thread is Downunder's Navcore 9.401 Fan Edition, works on 32mb models too.

I tried to work my magic on this 7.827....
[Please Register or Login to download file]
The link goes to Linksave, first link there is only the patched ttsystem, second link an attemp to get the Navcore working with memory boost to make it more responsive.
Can't make any promises as I have nothing to test it on.
If you got a dct file after map activation the patched ttsystem should get you going again.
In case you want to play you can try the full Navcore.
Different emulations are included but I doubt they will work as the corresponding files are missing for his Navcore.

Thanks - I will try this, although I am sure it was up to date before I tried to map updates.

Just typical it won't be posible to update it!

has anyone been successful, if so can you share the patched navcore?
