Generally you can just copy your POI's & mapsettings.cfg across to you new map folder but occasionally this can cause a minor problem but try it & report back.

1. Yes, you can.
2. A very minor problem that can be easily corrected.

hey tendriver. i am having this very problem, the core software files are 236meg, the tom tom shows up 2.32 meg when it's empty. with a 2.15gig map it wont all fit on, unless there is a little "trick" to bypass this. the only files on my go700's drive are the software, vers:8.398 and almost the maps, vers: 870.3421. its just a tadge too big. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks dude
chris.

Assuming you're using my first attachment from here http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?5464-Current-SE-8.398-TRUCK-WORK-navcores-for-other-devices
then (because this was created for the non-mic 300 & 500 and therefore doesn't have the ASR folder) you can delete
From the navcore:
Vocaliser folder (no more computer voices)
Helpme folder (no more straight to nearest doctor/dentist etc)
and remove all but 04 & 05 voices from the voices folder

From the map itself:
Cphoneme (used with Loquendo & Vocaliser computer voices)
Cspeech (no spoken address INPUT)
crpoi (Compressed Rich Point Of Interest. To see the "rich" detail select Navigate to ... Point of Interest ... POI near you ... select one of the built in categories ... select a POI ... If there is rich detail for that poi then a Details button appears under the phone number on the right of the screen. Click the Details button to see the the rich detail. This is often an address, web site url and email address but is technically capable of including any text and also pictures

Let us know how you get on

PS Plan "B" find an older (& therefore slightly smaller) truck map like the v845

Have you cracked the map correctly (adding a meta.dct AND a tmeta.dct) in the map folder?

You still need to crack/patch it using one of the tools from http://www.navitotal.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?127-Others

PS which files/folders did you need to remove from the navcore and/or map folder to fit?
