Make sure your PC doesn't Hide Extensions For Known File Types...
if your on XP, follow --> [Please Register or Login to download file]
if your on 7, follow --> [Please Register or Login to download file]

(02)
Then connect GPS to PC

(03)
open the file called ttgo.bif with notepad

(04)
then in notepad, click FILE --> SAVE AS --> and name it --> ttgo.ori (save this file to the root of your GPS)

(05)
Shutdown notepad

(06)
then open the file called ttgo.bif with notepad again
and replace just these 2 lines like this...

From:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9051
ApplicationVersion=503855.2
To:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=XXXX (basically Your devices offcial Navcore version number)
ApplicationVersion=XXXX (basically Your devices offcial Navcore version number)

then click, FILE --> SAVE

(07)
and since notepad is still running,
click FILE --> SAVE AS --> and name it --> ttgo.bak (save this file to the root of your GPS)

(08)
Shutdown notepad

(09)
By now your ttgo.bak / ttgo.bif / ttgo.ori files should all 3 be configured this way;

EnJoY!!!

is the image at 9 correct

i thought ttgo.bif file would always show your current navcore as it always updates on boot up

im trying to get a tt one second edition to owrk on tt home with no problem

i have the bifile showing 8471/1225 the bakfile showing 8010/9069 and the ori file showing 8417/1225 is this correct for this model??

Wed Oct 13, 2010 4:13 pm

if you look carefully, ttgo.bif & ttgo.bak files should read --> your official navcore version

and ttgo.ori file should read --> your current installed navcore version

** just follow the image **

sorry dont understand what do you mean ?

Wed Oct 13, 2010 4:57 pm

the steps i've provided you was to get rid of the TomTom HOME error message,,,

the one saying something like --> * wrong navcore version bla bla bla *

plug GPS to PC

then launch TT HOME,,,

do u still get that error message?

Wed Oct 13, 2010 5:02 pm

yes i do thats the message im trying to get rid of, you say the tom tom bif file should have your original/navecore version as the ori should and the bak should have the one you are using

but any time you reboot the device the bif file changes to the navcore you are running i could send you the file if it will help

Wed Oct 13, 2010 5:10 pm

ok send me by PM your bif bak and ori files
