Tomtom stuck on boot screen

Sat Jun 08, 2013 11:31 am

Hello,

I have a Tomtom XXL IQ Route Edition
I tried to update my navcore with Tomtom Home from a patched navcore and now it's stucks on boot screen...

I already tried to delete files from computer and Tomtom too. Then I tried update from TTH.

Now I just tried to update navcore manually and Tomtom still stucks...
already done a chkdsk too.

Do you have any idea?

Thank you in advance.

Max

Did you also try:
Hard reset followed by the TT clear flash tool?
After that a clean install on an empty device?

After the update, all you had to do was patch the new navcore, which is 9.510.

I don't know what you used for a patching tool, but I've never seen that error.

Patch 9.510 with 9.510 SE ttsystem.rar

Was the TT working normal before you tried to update and do you have a working backup?

Hi guys

i have a One Third Edition with NC 8.01 and bootloader 5.5001. I wanted to put newer maps/features and then followed the steps below.

0 - backed up device
1 - formatted device
2 - copied unzipped 9.465 LE cab to device
3 - copied SE ttsystem over
4 - copied ttgo.bif, map and voice folder from backup to device

after reboot it gets stuck on logo screen
i noticed that it starts to create a folder.465 with the bin, sbin and others
i don't know it didn't wait too long, or if i did something wrong or even if what i want to do is not feasible

i restored backup and it is working fine with 8.01, but i still want to upgrade it.

thanks in advance for any help

Upgrade your bootloader to 5.5112 or 5.5128, I suspect your bootloader is too low to support V9 Navcores.

Thanks. i used your 9.485 installer. It is not freezing anymore. It seems to be working fine.
I will test it today.
NC 9.485, Map 905.4757 but still with bootloader 5.5001.
Do i still need to update bootloader?

Thanks in advance

With the attached bootloader it should show a zero but internally it would be the 5.5128.
But does not really matter, as long as works fine there is no real need to update it.
