You won't believe but i did it

Revert to my original NC 9.057 NZ map 855.2884
Re-booting the device by holding the power button until "drum beat" sounds then release the button
Options => Advanced => Reset Factory Settings
Re-booting the device by holding the power button until "drum beat" sounds then release the button again

"Remaining Distance" is back now

Put back NC 9.430 and NZ map 885.4003

Remaining Distance still there....

I guess this is it

Anyway many thanks to all who took a part in this thread as you encouraged me to solve it by myself
