2. I was mainly referring to the possibility of applying the wrong bootloader to a device. That could be fatal is what I understood.

Re. 4: you mean about the rider not using advanced features of higher NC maps?
3.Well, I mean the XL size, ALG and Cspeech. Would those attributes be a reason for not choosing a map designed for a device built with lower NC? Or does this not present a direct problem?

1. I was not implying that you were inferring that we have caused any bricking. I was implying that you don't need to be concerned about doing it.
2. In days of old, it was an issue, but not any longer.
3. ASR, cspeech, ALG & IQ Routes are map features. When combined with a compatible navcore they function on almost EVERY device, with 1 exception, which is a device with no mike.

2. okay, that's reassuring.
3. Wow! Did not expect that. But doesn't especially ALG collide with the image on a non-XL screen? I mean does that result in an acceptable and clear overview of map screens?

Urban Rider : 9[color=#ff0000].205 [/color]3.5" screen
Rider 5: 9.500 4.3" screen

As I said in post 27: If you don't like 9.500, 9.205 is still available.

Okay, I practiced with Downunder's 9.485 NC on a TT One and it worked like magic !
And so easy ! I burdened myself way too much with reading older posts...

This opens a lot of doors.
A lot of maps can be activated now on a given device and the main limit is storage space.

I thought that FastActivate was the only Golden Trick here but the modded NC's are also huge nuggets.

WOOHOO, thanks a lot all of you moderators of this excellent forum.
In this case esp. tendriver and Downunder ! RESPECT !

Older posts can be really helpful.
But when it comes to new Navcores a lot of info is outdated, so it makes sense to check what really is current.
Thanks to the Navcores with Memory Boost and Hardwired Sound, basically all older Tomtom's can use the latest Navcores and map features, even with LoquendoTTS.
I guess now that you went through all the trouble you will make things a bit easier for you next time ;)

Okay, I'm ready to try 9.205 on a Rider 1.

But...I can not find the Rider 9.205 NC.
Trust me, I searched for it but I can't find it.
Please help me out !

Or wait ! is this it?

This section:
Navcore 9.205.547817 for Rider3

[Please Register or Login to download file]

X_ttsystem.9.205.547817.1
X_Navcore.9.205.547817.1.Basicpack

Home DLL
[Please Register or Login to download file]
TT Home "Operate my device" Home dll folder ([email protected]" target="_blank) is also included in the basicpack.

But unfortunately i'm getting the message that X_Navcore.9.205.547817.1.Basicpack.rar (21.5 MB) has been deleted !
Can you upload it again, please? EDIT: I PM'd Export...

Based on your post #25 in [Discussion] Rider Navcore 9.500 , I take it that you don't need an answer to the 9.205 issue above.

Well, as post #36 above continues, I found the post from where I could download or should be able to download the relevant files.

Unfortunately, one item appears to have been deleted and I reported that I now PM'ed Export to request a re-upload.
The same issue was posted in post #13.

So I was waiting for an answer and re-upload from Export.

Based on this quote:

"Wow, Downunder, I used your NC on a Rider 1 and it works brilliantly.
I can't believe how good it operates on this old little beast on wheels."

from your post #25 in [Discussion] Rider Navcore 9.500 , I take it that you don't need an answer to the 9.205 issue above.

A simple Yes or No will do.

Er.. YES.

Iknow what I wrote. But thanks for reminding me. ;-)

Since 9.205 was first recommended and because my request to Export is out, waiting for a reply.

OK, what are you going to do with the reply, when & if you get one?

Mon May 13, 2013 2:07 pm

Why make a problem out of it?

For one, it's nice to have a complete set of a modded version.

No problem is being made. It's nice to understand a member's logical and/or illogical thought patterns.

You might check to see if Export has replied.

Hi guys know this is an old thread but it closed I can find to my problems
I have in the past updated and patched a few tomtom for myself and others but never a rider(v2)
I have managed to get the rider navcore updated to a p.201 but for what ever reason I can seem to patch the maps. I have tried 3 different maps a 7.15, 8.15 and a 8.45 but all I get is the usal this map won't work message.
These are the only western europe maps I have. Tell a lie I have just managed to get a 9.15 version but no meta file for it. I was using easy activator to patch the map. Can't seem to find this other one thats mentioned fast activate has anyone a link?

Anyone know why my maps won't patch. Urgent help is need as we're off to assen on friday and at the mo I have no western map to use many thanks guys

MisterB247 wrote:...I can seem to patch the maps

So what's the problem? :snooty:

But seriously, what are you doing with maps v715, 815 and 8.45 when you can get recent maps v9xx?
If you are a regular visitor of NT and you studied the maps-section of the forum you'd know that Easy Activator is not advised here. (I don't even know if it's still current and/or even around anymore.)
Use FastActivate instead. FastActivate Rulez !

If you got the map here, you just have to read (and follow up) the instructions.
So get of you assen and do what you should have done if you'd take the trouble of reading some current topics here.
Just an additional tip: take a look at the unbelievable modded NC installation programs by downunder35m.
That's amazing stuff which is also amazingly simple to use.
