TomTom One IQ Routes change from UK to Australia Map

Postby poon » Sat Apr 05, 2014 10:41 pm

I currently have a

TomTom One IQ Routes
App 9.026.483454.2 OS 473972
(1010, 15/12/2009)
64MB RAM
GPS v1.20 Boot 5.5136
Map: 'United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland' v840.2562

I've just moved out to Australia and would like to update the TomTom and change the map to Australia but need some help. What map do I need for this TomTom as I see different versions available, also do I need to upgrade the Navcore?

One last question, nearly every other time I switch the TomTom on the colours are inverted and screen offset, is this a hardware problem or can it be fixed with a new bootloader or software update?

I know there must be tons of questions like this already answered with the various tutorials, but I'm still finding myself confused as to what I should be doing.

Many Thanks in Advance
Poon

I think you'd need the 925.5412 map of Australia if you want to use IQ-routes.
The 5409 should work as well, but no IQ-Routes.
Both would be usable without a Navcore upgrade.

I can't say anything about your startup-problem. I haven't seen it on my TT One yet.

1. I agree with firefoxie, 925.5412 is the map for you. You can keep navcore 9.026, but 9.510 is the current official navcore for a OneXL. If you elect to up your navcore, let TT Home do it for you. Then remove the UK map folder, copy in the AU map folder & patch the navcore & map with FastActivate. Done!!
2. I have not seen this issue. Let me do a little research on it.
